Captain Fyodor Volkonogov serves in law enforcement. He is in good standing with the management, his colleagues respect him. But one day life changes dramatically - the captain is declared a criminal. He manages to escape before being arrested. Overnight, he turns into an outcast who is sought after by his former colleagues throughout the city. At night, a messenger from the other world appears to Volkonogov and warns that after death he will go to hell for eternal torment. But he has the opportunity to change his fate and go to heaven if he repent and at least one person forgives him. The captain sets out on a journey to be forgiven.
