The best Nagesh’s thriller movies

A young orphan who is an introvert but a genius at the same time is raised by a church priest. He is sent to college where he turns out to be a misfit socially. Although he is shunned by the majority of students, one girl starts to warm up to him who he eventually falls in love.

When Vimala’s wayward lover Rajnikant is killed by her brother Mohan, the brother is sheltered from the police by the victim’s blind father, Major Chandrakanth. The major’s elder son, the zealous cop Srikanth, is in charge of finding Mohan, whom he finally arrests in his own house. Realising that his father knowingly sheltered a murder suspect, Srikanth arrests the blind old man as well.

A woman gets ready to leave for a get together and finds her husband dead in their room. In no time, she is also tried to kill by a black masked face man. His attempt gets failed and he escapes. The woman is now in state of shock and mentally paralysed. A murder case is registered and investigation take place. Susi (Kanchana) a young college girl comes to her home for vacation along with her friends. She lives with younger paternal uncles Kamalanathan and Vimalanathan who are the younger brothers of the victim and her aunt who was supposed to be the victim in the hands of the murderer. Susi meets Baskar (Ravichandran), a singer and both of them are attracted to each other at first sight.

The plot revolves around the wrong conviction of a business man and the efforts taken by the protagonist, a lawyer, to find the truth. The portrayal of the characters is similar in many ways to Malayalam cinema's investigative thrillers. The suspense is well maintained until the climax with little clue to the audience on the identity of the real culprit. The arguments in court were mostly inspired from 12 Angry Men (1957).
