Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu is a Tamil film starring Sathyaraj in the lead role of the protagonist. The film revolves around the story of an honest and straightforward Tamil Nadu police officer and his life. The story of the film is an adaptation from I. V. Sasi's Malayalam film Aavanazhi. The film was produced by Kamal Haasan but did not act in the film. Film had no songs. "Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu" is a famous quote by the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C. N. Annadurai.

Upon reiteration that knowing her past will be very useful for him to cure her, Jayalalitha parents reveal her awful past. Jayalalitha at a very young age got married and within hours, the couple meet with an accident and her spouse dies.

Raja falls in love with Bhuvana, the daughter of a landlord. However, the landlord declares that he will agree to their relationship only if Raja forsakes his mother.

Justice Gopinath is a man known for his rigid upholding of the law and honesty. His wife Radha is pregnant, but she meets with an accident, resulting in the child being stillborn. One case that comes up before Gopinath is that of Murugan, who has been charged with assault and battery. Misled by false evidence, Gopinath sentences Murugan to imprisonment. Murugan's wife commits suicide, fearing the advances of the local landlord, and her infant son Ravi is orphaned. Gopinath conceals Ravi's true identity from him and raises him as his own son. Ravi grows up to become a lawyer. Meanwhile, Murugan is released from prison and searches for his son. Though beseeched by Radha not to do so, Gopinath is unable to lie and reveals to Ravi the truth about his parentage.

A young man Raghu sets up an explosive in a railway track to blow up a train. Raghu is a freedom fighter who wants to destroy the train in which British officers are travelling. He returns home after his successful attempt and is slammed by his rich father who is an ardent supporter of the British. Raghu insists that his country and its freedom are more important than anything. When police comes to arrest Raghu, his father hands him to them but Raghu's pregnant wife Parvati diverts the police and lets her husband escape. Raghu escapes in his bike and meets with an accident and is declared dead. Parvati gives birth to a son named Ashok and ten years pass by. She is away from her father-in-law and still in a belief that her husband is alive and shall come to them one day.

Raja Rishi is a 1985 Indian Tamil film directed by K. Shankar and produced by N. Sakunthala. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Prabhu Ganesan, M. N. Nambiar and Nalini in lead roles. There is a touching scene where moved by the penance of Sage Vishvamitra, formerly King Kaushika; God Shiva grants him the status of brahmarishi and totally compassionate, Rajarishi sings the Gayatri Mantra.

He also gets ostracized when he objects to keeping the lord waiting for the caretaker to come and start the pooja on time. One thing leads to another and he gets thrown out of the city.

Sakthivel (Vijayakanth), a village-based ruffian, is recruited by Sekar for a mission and is taught martial arts. Meanwhile, Shakthi falls in love with Anju (Amala), but realises that his mission is linked to her.
