Ching is a prisoner in a Honk Kong jail that has a large population of Mainland Chinese prisoners. Ching escapes to see his young son, who he has been put in an orphanage. A woman who is in debt to loan sharks is about to commit suicide to escape her debts. Two ghosts are waiting to take her soul when she dies, but at the last moment she is rescued by a member of the loan shark gang who is in love with her. The ghosts, angry at being deprived of a soul, take their vengeance on the gang.

Sammo Hung Kam-po directs, produces and stars this comedy action thriller about Success Hung, an ace cell phone salesman who his feeling the heat from young, up and comer Miss Cheng (Carol Cheng Yu-ling). One day, Hung witnesses a mob hit. Though the panic-stricken salesman tries to tell his friends about the incident, Hung's gift for exaggeration in the past makes everyone suspicion of his claims except for a relative the deceased who comes to believe that Hung pulled the trigger. Soon two different groups of mob hitmen are out for Hung's head. As the misunderstandings multiple, Hung's wife, Miss Cheng and a female psychologist (Joyce Godenzi) wind up entangled in this mess. Soon Miss Cheng winds up in the hospital while Hung and the other two woman in a police safe house, which inevitably proves to be none to safe.

The "walk in" of the title refers to one person allowing another's soul to take possession of his body at the time of death.

Cop Abula arrests a pregnant illegal immigrant, Xiao Qing, who came from mainland China to look for the father of her baby. Upon arrest, Xiao Qing gives birth to a baby girl in the police station, causing disorder in the place. Abula takes care of her and even helps to search for the father. On the other hand, Abula has to face other worries, like the problem between him and his son, Ah Yi. In addition, there is the Mafia who makes life difficult for Abula as he refuses to accept bribery. In the end, Abula resorts to the improper way of solving the problem, resulting in a hilarious ending to the story.
