Sreensan is a goldsmith who is in love with Urvashi. Her father doesn't approve, so Sreenivasan tells her that he will call her out. Urvashi convinces him to make her a 10 Pavan gold wedding necklace and that will change her family's mind about him. Sreenivasan uses all of his money to make her the necklace but it backfires when she leaves him after taking the necklace and obeys her family , to marry a gulf man. Sreenivasan is not able to get the necklace back and moves on waiting for fate to take its course which forms rest of the story.

Padmini brings Gigi to Dr. Padmanabhan who after initial apprehension accepts Gigi in his institute as a student by the day. Padmini's separated husband Sethu is still trying to win her back. The viewers are shown that Padmini separated from her husband because she lost her children due to an episode of reckless motorcycle riding from husband. Padmini decides to go back to Sethu and adopt Gigi as their daughter. However Gigi's special behavior annoys Sethu and Gigi starts to feel insecure about losing her mother again.

Season is a 1989 Malayalam-language Indian feature film directed Padmarajan, starring Mohanlal and Gavin Packard in lead roles. The film, though a failure at the box office, stands apart because of Padmarajan's story-telling style, unconventional plot and characters, realistic portrayal of drug trade in Kovalam and flawless performance of Mohanlal and is considered now as a cult classic. The story is set in the beautiful locales of Kovalam beach in Kerala and Poojappura Central Prison, Trivandrum. In spite of the film's commercial failure at the time, Season is now considered to be amongst the best revenge thriller classics ever made in Malayalam and Mohanlal's performance in the movie stands apart because of his unconventional style of acting in such a complex plot. The film also showed how narration can be used as a strong tool in storytelling. Many feel that this movie was much ahead of time and if it would have released in late nineties, would have done good business.
