George Kutty is a hard working student, who graduated with top rank in college as an engineer. His family which was once rich is burdened in debt. His father meets with Chandi a marriage broker who proposes a match for Georgekutty with a rich family, but they would have to lie a little about their economic status. George Kutty resists first, but pressure from his dad who sees the marriage as a way to get money to payback the family debts, he agrees. Unfortunately the Itichen finds out the truth about the family and confronts them. He makes Georgekutty and his family agrees to certain terms for the wedding to take place including that Georgekutty and his wife have to stay in their house with them. After the wedding Georgekutty sees that he and visiting family and friends are disrespected and that he is controlled and held like a prisoner at Itechan's house. Georgekutty comes up with a plan to get back at his father in law which forms rest of the movie.

Ezhara Ponnana is a 1992 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Thulasidas and produced by Joy Thomas. The film stars Jayaram, Kanaka, Thilakan and Anju in lead roles. The film had musical score by Johnson.

Bhoothakkannadi movie is all about Vidyadharan (Mammootty) who is a small village clocksmith and a widower lives with his only daughter. His wife had died from a snake bite years ago. However his childhood friend and love Interest Sarojini (Sreelakshmi) who lives next to his house. Sarojini was left by her husband after living together only for a night from which she has a daughter who has grown to a teenager. Vidyadharan is paranoid from the fear of snakes possibly due to his wife's death in the past. He carries a flashlight through the village lanes even in broad daylight.

The film follows brothers Chettan Bava and Aniyan Bava, and their driver Premachandran with whom the daughters of both the Bavas fall in love. This makes the Bavas enemies and it becomes their issue of pride on who will marry Premachandran. On top of this includes Sundaran trying to take Premachandran down.

Amarnath (Mammootty), a police officer, tries to settle a communal riot that takes place among fishermen. However, he faces many challenges when he tries to bring the criminals to justice.

Jayaram acts as a mental patient to help out a girl in distress. Plans go awry when the doctors treat him like a real patient.
