Nattamai is a 1994 Tamil language film directed by K. S. Ravikumar. It starred Sarath Kumar, Kushboo Sundar and Meena in the lead roles. It became a blockbuster upon release. This was the first Tamil film where they first introduced the punch dialogue "Nattamai, theerpa maathi sollu." Upon release and the huge success of the film it become a trend setter for Tamil films as all future big actor films are cloned with the same formula, a chief of village doing good to its people.The film is also well received for the Goundamani- senthil comedy which was then a huge hit. The film is remade in Bollywood as Bulandi starring Anil Kapoor and Rekha.

Jagannathan, (Sarath Kumar) fondly known as ‘Jaggubhai’. is an Indian Police Officer with sharp methods. His way of dealing the criminals strikes terror in the underground world. Tough is just an ordinary word to describe this upright, straight forward police officer. Jaggubhai is sent to Australia on an important mission to deal with anti social elements there. In Australia, Jaggubai meets Meena (Srisha) and they both fall in love with each other. Jaggubai fails in his mission for which he came to Australia and the brief romance with Meena also ends abruptly....

Devi, a snake goddess, stays on earth to protect the girl whose father saved her life from greedy relatives and from the snake demon, Dantra.

Sathyaraj dreams of marrying an educated employed girl, of building a dream house of his own, and having just one child. But the wife (Meena) he gets, thanks to the trick played by his scheming orthodox grandparents, turns out to be an illiterate rustic whose dreams are confined to marrying a swarthy man, having a dozen kids and visiting all the temples around. Soon all the dreams of the wife came true and the husband's dream was being destroyed one by one. Vadivelu hoodwinking his own wife (Kalpana) and carrying on unabashedly with his philandering activities is pedestrian comedy. So the husband was quite mad at the wife and his grandparents. Later his friend(Vadivelu) a hooker (Manthara) who develops a soft corner for him. Later the husband and his friend left their family and stayed at the hooker's house for a short period. In the end the husband went back to his wife and stayed happily.

Two friends, both with the name of Lingam, create a comedy of errors and consequent chaos with their girlfriends and their families.

Coimbatore Maaple starring by vijay and Sangavi. Vijay comes to the city and stays with his friend who claims that he has a job. Actually he's also unemployed. Both of them are tenants of a girl named Sanghavi. First the hero and heroine get into fights, but then their arguments and fights turn into love.Meanwhile another guy, Karan, is also in love with Sangavi. During the initial fights Sanghavi gets Vijay into trouble with the other guy. Finally the hero clears his name with everybody and takes the hand of his lover.

Ramamoorthy, with dreams of being a movie director, moves to the city with his wife Shenbagam, banking on his rich friend Viswanathan to help him. Turns out, Viswanathan is a hen-pecked husband and his wife Meena, an aspiring actress. With the intent on laying their hands on 30 lakhs, Shenbagam begins to act as Viswanathan's wife and Meena, in financial trouble of her own, agrees to be part of the drama. But Andal, who sees Ramamoorthy as the man of her dreams, tries to woo him. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Prakash and Murthy have been thick friends ever since Prakash took Murthy into his house - against the wishes of his own parents - after his father killed Murthy's mother in an accident. So Murthy thinks the world of Prakash. When Prakash goes to America to study, Murthy steps out of the house after overhearing Murthy's parents scheming to send him out disgracefully.Murthy is given accomodation by an old man who is reminded of his son Govind and henceforth starts going by that name.What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

The film features Arjun and Rambha in lead roles whilst Raghuvaran, Raadhika and Sharat Saxena play supporting roles.

Aahaa is a 1997 Tamil film directed by Suresh Krishna starring Rajiv Krishna and Sulekha in the lead roles. The film was a commercial success.
