During a card game, Ah Chi and Mindy swindle millions of dollars from Lau, but they are caught. Lau makes a deal with Mindy - in exchange for Ah Chi (who had been kidnapped), Mindy needs to go to prison and find out where a guy named Robinson (Kwan Hoi-San) has hidden $3 billion dollars worth of bonds.

A hitman Jack is slowly wandering into a red light district. As he walks through the alley, everyone avoid eye contact with him because of his extremely ugly face. Ting Ting is the only prostitute that did not reject him. Jack finds a scar on the stomach of Ting Ting which was wounded by a gunshot. Ting Ting on the other hand stares at the giant lump on Jack's face without showing any sign of fear. The two of them quickly form a bond and Jack could not bear to leave Ting Ting alone. He decides to take Ting Ting out of her miserable life at any cost. From then on, their lives turns out differently.
The Way We Were
The Way We Were is something that Hong Kong cinema needs – creative, different, character driven, funny and ultimately heart warming. It is exactly what you call a light hearted movie that never takes itself too seriously. Liu Kai Chi impresses as the guy who never gives up on his dream and at the same time dealing with the fact that he is a failed father. Fiona Sit suits up well in a role that requires more than on paper. At the end of the day, this is an interesting and easily missed little film that works. The Way We Were may not make a single cent at the box office, but it is certainly the most underrated Hong Kong film of the year…
