Jaci van Jaarsveld will do everything in her power to stop the advertising company where she works to be taken over by a ruthless businessman known as 'The Jackal'. Her only hope for a big contract to save their company is a wine estate that markets wines to international markets. Easier said than done, especially if the winegrower requires the person to promote his wine to be in an established relationship. In desperation Jaci decided to hire a model pretending to be her fiance. She took the first attractive man walking through their offices send by the modeling agency. Everything seems to be going smooth with the meeting with the winegrower until he invites Jaci and her fiance to visit the winery for the weekend and to compete against their opposition for the contract. And who is the opposition? Jaci's ex-fiance, Mark Rossouw. Just when Jaci think she’s in full control she realized that her ‘fiance’, JP, is the very 'Jackal' who tried to sink their company.

The Windmill is a quirky and endearing love story about 20 year old Hendri, who arrives on the doorstep of a retirement village to live with his grandfather. Shortly after arriving, Hendri is taken under the wing of an elderly neighbour who forces him to take regular baths at her house. One night, Hendri follows three figures into the forest and finds a peculiar sight - elderly folks diving into a dam, a windmill rising from its moonlit centre. A beautiful young girl appears from amongst the trees in the darkness and introduces herself as Margot. Hendri is immediately smitten with this mysterious girl, and Margot is equally taken with Hendri.As Hendri's and Margot's summer romance blossoms, it soon becomes clear that all is not what it seems in this unusual village.

A filmmaker with a broken heart, he is in the Klein Karoo with his team to make a documentary about social upliftment work in the area - and in the process hopefully forget about women, love, and all the baggage that comes with it.
