Der Tag des feierlichen Mauereinrisses, der dem Durchbruch in den zukünftigen Raucherraum dienen soll, läuft jedoch anders als geplant: Statt der polnischen Arbeiter taucht der türkische Geschäftsmann Mustafa mit seiner Familie auf und ist dabei, die Mauer von der gegenüberliegenden Seite niederzureißen.
