Sollamale is a 1998 Tamil romantic drama film directed by Sasi, who made his directorial debut with the film. The film featured Livingston and Kausalya in lead roles whilst Anand, Prakash Raj and Karan play supporting roles. The film opened in July 1998 to positive reviews and became a box office success. It was later remade Telugu as Seenu (1998) with Venkatesh and Twinkle Khanna and in Hindi as Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai (2002) with Govinda and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. The film's success prompted the producer to consider remaking the film in Hindi with Kajol lined up to play heroine, though the film never took off.

After the travel agent informs Sura that he cannot taste liquor or women in Saudi, he, along with Marthandam, goes to a wine shop to have the last gulp. It’s a dry day thanks to elections. Though disappointed, Sura is determined to taste the ‘quarter’ and starts his journey to various places in Chennai where he is told that liquor would be available. He goes to a politico who supplies wine for votes, a star hotel, an Anglo-Indian group of youngsters, a fish market, a gambling den, a kulfi shop and a brothel house among other places, all in search of ‘quarter’.
Kattradhu Kalavu
Singam (Krishna Sekhar) gets cheated out of an original idea of his by a prominent person in the society. He decides to stop pleading and start threatening. He begins with a plan to corner the big shot. He meets Krishnaveni (Vijayalakshmi Agathiyan), who has left home and needs fast money. With a common purpose, they soon become partners and work out a plan. They blackmail the big shot with videotapes that they threaten to release all over the media if he refused to pay up. Buoyed by the success of their maiden outing, they decide to become con artists. They are successful in various ventures and finally end up blackmailing a minister. The minister, after initially caving in to their threats, decides to settle scores. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
