A look back at the first 21 years of Britain's most successful film series.

The most glittering, expensive, and exhausting videotaping session in television history took place Friday February 19, 1982 at New York's Radio City Music Hall. The event, for which ticket-buyers payed up to $1,000 a seat (tax-deductible as a contribution to the Actors' Fund) was billed as "The Night of 100 Stars" but, actually, around 230 stars took part. And most of the audience of 5,800 had no idea in advance that they were paying to see a TV taping, complete with long waits for set and costume changes, tape rewinding, and the like. Executive producer Alexander Cohen estimated that the 5,800 Radio City Music Hall seats sold out at prices ranging from $25 to $1,000. The show itself cost about $4 million to produce and was expected to yield around $2 million for the new addition to the Actors Fund retirement home in Englewood, N. J. ABC is reputed to have paid more than $5 million for the television rights.

The origins of the classic series are explored with new interviews featuring cast and production personnel combined with newly-found deleted scenes, alternate angles, outtakes, behind the scenes moments, and original visual effects elements to tell the definitive story on the making and enduring legacy of Gene Roddenberry's creation.

A star-studded tribute to Star Trek on its 30th anniversary, hosted by many of the stars and guest stars from all of the Trek series and movies. Also features a huge number of clips from all of the series and movies. At the end, real-life astronauts Aldrin and Jemison present NASA award plaques to the cast members.

Hosted by Fiona Richmond (who also conducts on-street interviews), this features newsreel and 35mm coverage of the world's most disastrous series of automotive fatalities at the Indianapolis 500, several video centerfolds, a Nude Wives special, a profile of photographer David Williams, a segment on Joan Collins and the adult cartoon Snow White and the Seven Perverts. Note: Electric Blue 001 in the UK is a completely different video than Electric Blue 001 in the U.S. The latter is hosted by Marilyn Chambers, features entirely different scenes and was released in 1983.
