The Untold Story

The hands belong to the missing mother of the restaurant's former owner; he and his family have disappeared; staff at the restaurant continue to go missing; and, Wong can't produce a signed bill of sale: but there's no evidence. The police arrest Wong and try to torture him into a confession. Can they make him talk? And what was in those pork bao?

Inspector Lee (Danny Lee) and his team (including Monica Chan and Cheung Kwok-Keung) look into the mysterious disappearance of a seedy loan shark (Ken Lo), but find no real leads. Amazingly, the culprits fall into their laps. Four young men, led by Wong Wing-Man (Sam Lee) confess to the killing. Apparently, they were deep in debt, and found the murder of their friend to be the only way out. There is one problem, though: no physical evidence.

When a clever thief (Simon Yam at his overacting best) gets away with a huge heist, he greets the investigating cops with buckets of know-it-all smarm and "yes, I did it" charm. He knows he's guilty, and the cops know he's guilty, but how can they prove it? Simon and his buxom girlfriend (Suki Kwan) aren't about to make it easy for the cops, and throw red tape, bureaucratic police procedure, and slimy lawyers in their way. It isn't until the cops devise new and sneakier methods to get the goods that they find a chance to put Simon away. But with only 48 hours in which to interrogate him, do they have enough time? The ethics of cops, as well as Hong Kong's bloated legal system, get a subversive skewering in Twist, an entertaining, slightly twisted cop thriller.

Supercop Ko goes into action but engenders the enmity of Ken, another cop, when the murderer kills Ken's girlfriend during a stakeout. Ko also must protect Maddie, a lively prostitute who survives one assault and whom the murderer has promised to kill. The murderer teases Ko with phone calls and letters, announcing victims ahead of time, and threatening Ko's wife and daughter. This may be too much for the marriage to endure and a separation looks likely. In fatigue and desperation, Ko takes up with Maddie. Can Ko protect his family, save Maddie, catch the killer, and avoid internal police strife?

Lots of familiar faces populate this drab thriller about Patrick Tam, who may or not be a psycho killer. This much is true: he’s overly obsessed with Angie Cheung (as many are I'm sure) and spends his time acting wacky. Ultimately, what we discover is that he’s wacky, but still not as wacky as we were led to believe.

The story of the tattoo artist Ching and the photographer Sei are good friends. They often go to voyeur together, even more famous for tattoos, and persuade girls to take sexy photos of them. In one encounter, he met the wife of the rich man Fok Cha. Because Fok Cha thought that his wife had committed adultery with Ching and Sei, he sent someone to kill her, and even blamed Ching, which made Ching very distressed...
