Although initially cautious and tentative with each other, it is soon obvious that the unspoken sexual tension is becoming increasingly hard to resist - something a spontaneous trip to Berlin. Proving that true love can blossom in even the most unlikely of places, Harvest is as rich and rewarding as it is heart-warming.

At first Katja doesn't know who it is, but after doing some research, she can identify her as Judith Kleinke, whose family bought an old farmhouse in the spring some time ago. She makes her way to her and finds a very listless and desperate woman and her two daughters. Katja doesn't let herself be turned away and tries to help the family.

She remembers a young woman who felt she was being watched closely.

Katja Baumann helps out at Sanne Bredemeyer's sailing school. Her son had untied the boats unnoticed and with all the excitement his heavily pregnant mother almost miscarried. Katja now not only takes care of the business, but also of the family, as Sanne has to lie down a lot and any further agitation should be avoided. When Katja tries to find out the reasons for Finn's act, she notices how much the boy misses his stepfather Matthias.

This is of all people Jan Steinmann, an old school friend of hers, with whom she now has to share and arrange the living area.

Village helper Katja Baumann helps out with farmer Schneidinger, who has broken his arm and cannot do all the necessary work on his farm himself. So this time Katja has to go to the sunflower field. Here she becomes aware of a child who has just collapsed at the edge of the forest and is complaining of severe pain.
