Oru Second Class Yathra is a comedy thriller where Vineeth Sreenivasan and Chemban Vinod play thieves, while Sreejith Ravi and Joju George play the roles of police officers. The film is set on the journey of these four in the train from Kannur Central Jail to Thiruvananthapuram.

Ramanunni, who was the MLA of revolutionary party CDP, crosses over to the opposition as their candidate for the by-election. Only worry they had was about not having a child. To overcome that, they started engaging themselves in socializing and mixing with their friends without realizing where to control and restrict their friends in their personal family space. Priyadarshan and Anjana are such couple who openly speaks their issues each other and resolve the same.
