CAROLE KING & JAMES TAYLOR: Just Call Out My Name celebrates King’s and Taylor’s relationship of 50 years. Their expansive 2010 concert tour reunited these beloved singer/songwriters for a rare musical experience. The set list for the film contains a breadth of material, including songs that they first performed together in 1970 at The Troubadour, the famed Los Angeles music venue that initially helped propel them both onto the world stage, and again in 2007 at the club’s 50th anniversary. Songs in the documentary include: “Country Road,” “Natural Woman,” “Fire and Rain,” “Beautiful,” “Carolina in My Mind,” and many more.

A spirited young girl disobeys her parents and runs off to the wood for the afternoon where she rudely invades the home of a family of bears, taking advantage of all its comforts and thoughtlessly wrecking things. When caught, she learns important lessons about truthfulness and respecting others' rights to privacy.

Really Rosie is a musical with a book and lyrics by Maurice Sendak and music by Carole King. The musical is based on Sendak's books "Chicken Soup with Rice", "Pierre", "One was Johnny", "Aligators All Around" (Which comprise the 1962 book "The Nutshell Library"), and "The Sign on Rosie's Door". Sendak based the story on a demonstrative little girl who used to sing and dance on the stoop of her building, whom he observed while he was a little boy growing up in Brooklyn.

The performances come from a 2004 Willie Nelson Special aired on cable television; guests include many well-known musicians.

New interviews with friends and colleagues, including fellow songwriters Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, Tapestry producer Lou Adler, drummer Russ Kunkel, guitarist Danny “Kootch” Kortchmar, daughter and manager Sherry Goffin Kondor, lyricists Toni Stern and Carole Bayer Sager, and former manager Peter Asher, complete the biographical tapestry.

Backed by little more than a lone acoustic guitar or simple piano, these exciting voices descended upon Los Angeles, now emerging as the center of the American music scene. Their epicenter for self-expression became an old beatnik folk club and a fitting name: The Troubadour. TROUBADOURS traces Carole King, James Taylor and the singer/songwriter scene during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The film also interweaves the intriguing story of the 'world famous' Troubadour club that cemented their musical legacy, the mercurial impresario named Doug Weston who ran it, and the performing careers of some of the best songwriters of their generation – and perhaps any generation: Carole King and James Taylor, as well as Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Joni Mitchell, Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt, Eagles and many others.

In November of 1970 James Taylor and Carole King first performed together at the Troubadour on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, California. Taylor had just released his debut album for the Beatles' newly formed Apple Records and King was finding her way as a first time solo performer even though by then she was a famous songwriter with a string of hits for other artists. When they returned to the club for a two-week co-headlining run in 1971 their lives were somewhat different. That summer Taylor's "Fire and Rain" was topping the charts and King's landmark Tapestry was on its way to making her a music superstar. Thirty-six years later, in November 2007, James Taylor, Carole King and members of their renowned original band "The Section" (featuring guitarist Danny Kortchmar, bassist Leland Sklar and drummer Russell Kunkel) returned to the Troubadour for a three-night, six-show run to celebrate the venue's 50th anniversary.

Filmed in California in 2005, this performance features multiple Grammy winner Carole King performing some of her greatest hits from five decades of singing and songwriting. Songs include "I Feel the Earth Move," "Where You Lead, I Will Follow," "It's Too Late," "Nobody Wants to Be Lonely," "Song of Long Ago," "Up on the Roof" and many more. Interviews and a behind-the-scenes tour give viewers an intimate look at the enduring artist.
