The plates were made in Germany during World War II, and were discovered by a radical right-wing group hoping to restore the Nazi Party to power. Four ribald short stories set in the Medieval age, each with a ribald bent. The tawdry tales involve a chastity belt, a man pretending to be deaf-mute to gain access to virgins in a convent school and an adulteress on death row who uses her charms to talk a magistrate out of her punishment.

Britt Blazer
5.4/10

It's all just a flimsy excuse for wall-to-wall soft-core sex... enough so that an attempt to release this in the UK led to it being banned due to "frequent" and "gratuitous" sex. One minute of nudity and "sexual violence" were removed before it was finally passed.

The Ribald Tales of Robin Hood

The Ribald Tales of Robin Hood
4.2/10
In this version the baddies conspire to use Maid Marian against Robin, and this makes for some useful dramatics. She is also cast against type, with Marian having dark hair. Film’s highlight is a lengthy torture scene, rather imaginatively staged by director Richard Kanter in an attempt to outdo Lee Frost. Many other subplots keep the pot boiling and even manage to engender almost-moving emotions amongst the characters. It's well-shot by erstwhile cameraman and sometime director Paul Hipp.
