Goa is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, who with the project. Starring Jai, Vaibhav and Premji Amaran in the lead roles along with Sneha, Piaa Bajpai and the debutant Australian model Melanie Marie in other roles, the film features music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film follows the journey of three young men, Ramarajan, Vinayagam and Saamikannu, who flee from their remote, conservative village to escape their overly strict families and travel to the international tourist-destination Goa, after encountering a friend who had fallen in love with a Caucasian girl whilst on holiday there. The film explores their time in Goa, the people they meet ranging from gay hoteliers to suave casino owners, and dwells on the relationships they encounter in the region.

Kathirvel comes to the city to live with his friend Subramani. While Reshma is a soft-spoken college student, her mother Gangamma is an heartless lady rowdy. Rahul, a college student, falls in love with Reshma at the first sight. Reshma also loves him but to save Rahul's life, she tries to avoid him. Finally, Reshma accepts his love. Gangamma, knowing their love affair, hurts heavily Rahul in front of Kathirvel and Subramani and they reached Rahul to the nearby hospital. Reshma insults Kathirvel for being passive during the attack and Kathirvel tells his tragic past to Reshma. In the past, Kathirvel was in love with Reshma's sister Meenakshi. They So Gangamma tried to kill Kathirvel but Meenakshi intervened and was accidentally by her mother. Before her death, Kathirvel promised Meenakshi to not kill her mother. Kathirvel is now determined to unite the lovers. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Unnale Unnale (Tamil: உன்னாலே உன்னாலே, English: Because of You) is a 2007 Tamil musical romance film. Directed and co-written by Jeeva and produced by Oscar Ravichandran its stars Vinay Rai, Sadha and Tanisha Mukherjee in the lead roles. Raju Sundaram and Lekha Washington, prominent actors from the south Indian film industry, played the roles of the lead character's friends in the film. The film revolves around the aftermath of a relationship between a careless man and a serious woman. Despite being in a relationship, the latter walks out on the former due to his antics with other women. However, the man changes his ways and on a business trip to Melbourne, he encounters another woman. This other woman's personal assistant turns out to be the man's former lover. The events that follow and who the man eventually gets together with form the crux of the story.
