Seconds is a Malayalam thriller film directed by Aneesh Upasana. Released on December 5, 2014. The film is told in a non linear format is a multi narrative that revolves around a murder that happens in the elevator of a plush city apartment. Four unrelated persons of which one was a ruffian were in the lift of which two were left seriously injured and one, dead. The police officer on investigation, Bimal Vaas then asks for the whereabouts of the persons who were in the lift and we are also given the glimpses of each of their lives on the day of the fatal incident.

The story unfolds the events happening in just four hours of a day in two cities - Kochi and Chennai. Balu (Aju Varghese) who goes to Chennai to attend an interview falls into a trap in the few minutes he goes out of the call centre office to make a phone call. He contacts his friend Kishore (Indrajith), an ad filmmaker and his friend, to help him with some money. Kishore, who is in Kochi, has an equally crucial day. His wife Surya (Mamta Mohandas) is returning to his life as the couple has been living separate for some time. Kishore sets aside his plans to reconcile with his wife to help his friend. However, he fails to gather enough money to help Balu. How money changes the life of these characters forms the rest of the story.

Cocktail is a 2010 Malayalam thriller film edited and directed by Arun Kumar. The film stars Jayasurya, Anoop Menon, Samvrutha Sunil, Fahad Fazil, Innocent, and Mamukkoya. It is co-written by Anoop Menon and is an uncredited remake of the Canadian film Butterfly on a Wheel. It was the directorial debut of film editor Arun Kumar.
